Architectural Preservation & Zoning

REQUEST TO REZONE PROPERTY (WINDSONG APARTMENTS)

Bonaventure’s request to rezone the Windsong Apartments on Pleasure House Rd would increase the number of apartments allowed by as many as 200 units/400 drivers. A36 Zoning is currently not allowed in Chic’s Beach by the city zoning ordinance. If this passes, it will set precedence for other multi-family complex to increase its density too.

CBCL does not oppose the renovation and beautification of this property, but will continue to speak out on behalf of our neighborhood. Members of the Chesapeake Beach Civic League voted unanimously to oppose Bonaventure’s request to rezone, increase, density, and displace current residents.
